We did last year because we got talked into having a party, but that's another story... We went out for dinner with Monkey, and I didn't even finish my food. For some reason, I'm getting full a lot sooner these days, which is great for my diet, but irritating when I go out somewhere. As for the workout... sigh. Well, I walk a lot. My hips hurt and my legs hurt because I'm on my feet all the time at the hospital. And looking at my clinical schedule, it's only going to get WORSE. I'll be going to clinic 3x a week instead of 2x a week like I do now. I've been right there with you with injury after injury and chronic illness. <br /><br />One thing I can heartily recommend is weight lifting/resistance training while you wait for your foot to heal. Working on your lean body mass will increase your metabolism and at least help you maintain while you heal.<br /><br />Chair dancing can really get your heart rate up as well. I know, when my knees refused to let me dance anymore, seated dancing on the balance ball saved me. With your foot, a chair or the couch would work just fine. You can even find chair routines on youtube. <br /><br />Injuries and illness don't have to get us down.
